“Someone quoted this before: When a woman rises in glory, her energy is magnetic and her sense of possibility is contagious. I totally agreed with that. Woman vibes are contagious and viral.
“To have a well balance lifestyle is the key for every woman. Especially in our current society, women are compelled to wear different hats at any point as being a mother, career woman, daughter, helper at home and a daughter-in-law. At the same time, maintaining their poise and strength in positioning to do the multitasking well.
“In order to function well and having the sufficient stamina, woman need to take time out for themselves for workout. In the department of health and human services, it suggest 3.75 hrs to 5 hrs of workout spread within a week is a healthy lifestyle.
How do we come out with a time? A successful woman will always plan for success.
“We are built to be a multitasker.”

“I was completely Sedentary until my age of 28. After my second child was born, I realised that I was overweight carrying 55% of fat of my body weight. That is where I decided to start to exercise. At first, I started to have a healthy diet. Then I started exercising. It was really strenuous! I even thought that exercise was a torture. However, by working hard, I was able to overcome the obstacles I faced and was successful in my weight loss journey and that prompted to be a fitness trainer. I did my kettlebell Instructor course and got an opportunity to enter into the kettlebell sport.
“Now, I am competing in few races. One of my favourite race is Spartan race and kettlebell sport. Although there are obstacles, they are really fun when trying them and always challenges me to clear the obstacles. These obstacles reflect the obstacles we face in our lives and clearing them gives me an immense satisfaction. Never had I imagined I would be participating in competitions and races. Kettlebell sport is another toughest sport of mindfulness to hold the bells for just 10 mins which is very challenging.
“I am very much thankful to all my coaches and my fitfam who keep inspiring me and one another.
“You may start your fitness journey at any time of your life. Age does not define me nor be an obstacle in pursuing my athletic lifestyle.
We are glad that we can be part of Anu’s fitness journey!
FPA Coach Chee Faang has his food for thought!

One of our youngest FPA Coach, Chee Faang coaches some of our female members under his closed supervision and guidance. Dedicated and disciplined, Chee Faang ensures service quality in all in what he does and expects nothing less from his clients! He is currently pursuing his studies in Heath Services Management. Below is an abstract of his food for thoughts:
“Being a woman, the common struggle is to strike the balance between family and one’s career, which more than often results in neglecting their own health and wellness. They should give themselves a time off daily for about 30 minutes to 1 hour and engage in sports or training. This will enable them to perform better in both physical and mental health.
“By participating in physical activities, I have noticed my female family members as well friends are able to maintain or lose weight in a healthy manner. Exercising is also a good way to help to release stress. Besides, having a healthy body, physical fitness will also help them to focus better in what they are doing. Women will usually find gaining more confidence and attractive due to improvement in physical appearance after training over a period of time. This I believe leads to an increase in both mental well-being and self esteem!
It is good to have an understanding that correct training and proper dieting is the right way for weight loss instead of following some fads.
“In conclusion, women should re-frame their perception towards social norms and start taking care of their bodies! You have only one body, give the best you deserve!”
Chee Faang, your youthfulness defies your matured thoughts!
FPA Coach Harris’always inspired by his mother!

When anyone meets CPL Muhd Harris Azmi a fire and rescue specialist in person for the first time, one would not have guessed his vast experience in sports and service excellence. Quiet and unassuming, Harris was awarded the “Service Excellence Award” for outstanding contribution and commitment to service excellence. During SEA GAMES 2015 Short Film series, he was selected to play the part of our National Icon, the young Fandi Ahmad. “I applaud mothers who have been around our lives 24/7 and never fail to let us down. Although with a tight schedule and commitment to her family, my mother also made room to keep fit by having yoga mats at home and doing light workout during her free time by following videos on you tube. If she can prioritise fitness, so can you!”
Your mother seemed to be using our S.I.T. methodology! You have set high standards for all of us Harris! We look forward to your training!
FPA Coach Ares’s valuable perspectives towards Women’s Fitness

Ares Shidee Chaote. Honestly, we are quite unsure how to introduce him. That is because of his impressive CV and long list of awards! As a fire and rescue specialist, and a certified emergency medical technician, one can only imagine the tough mental and physical training one had to go through! Ladies, if you one to do at least one pull-up in your lifetime, who do you want to call? Ares is the man and here is what he wants to share.
“In this era, women tend to be tied up with all the tasks and roles defined by society such as household chores, work, marriage, preganancy, parents and parenting. Being isolated to these conditions may lead to depression, self-loathe or worst AMS (Altered Mental State)
“To avoid such risks, I urge all husbands and fathers to step in as women tend to see their male counterparts as their hero/pillar/sanctuary/shelter. By helping them out with their routine tasks, you would be more bonded as a family and have more time for each other.
“Put aside some time for a regular workout together as a couple/family. Hire a trainer if neither parties are familiar with exercises. In the long run, you will see a lot of positive changes in mental, emotional and physical health.
“Regular exercise will help women elevate their self-confidence and self-esteem apart from improvement of immunity functions and vitality. Properly targeted exercise can also help improve posture which in turn reduce pains due to atrophy/dystrophy, muscle tightness and injuries.
“Increased strength and mobility also helps the individual to go through their everyday roles with more ease. Usage of more energy during regular exercises means they can eat a little more of their favourite food without feeling guilty! Start a fitness program today!”
Ares Shidee Chaote. FPA Trainer who commands respect from all of us!
